|Project Management Institute
Since its founding in 1969, Project Management Institute (PMI®) has grown to be the organization of choice for project management professionalism. With over 240,000 members worldwide, PMI® is focused on the needs of project management professionals. PMI establishes Project Management standards, provides seminars, educational programs and professional certification that more and more organizations desire for their project leaders.
|The IPMA (International Project Management Association) is a non-profit
Swiss registered organisation whose membership is comprised primarily of national project management associations throughout the world. Only National Project Management Associations can become a member of IPMA. Currently 43 countries are represented in IPMA by their association. These Member Associations serve the specific needs of more than 30.000 project management professionals in their own country, their own language and their own culture. The role of IPMA is to serve those needs at an international level. Only by exception, when there is no member association in a country is ‘direct individual membership’ possible.
